Spawncamping examples:
All of these examples are taken from Unreal Tournament.
DM-Fractal:
Everything said here applies to DM-Morbias][ as well. Spawnpoints are directly opposite each other, meaning two can be covered by one line of fire. The only two ways to flush the spawncamper are to walk right into their field of fire, or get behind them on the lifts, which are too audible for proper sneaking. To cover their backs, some spawncampers position themselves under the lifts, making the only possible assault a frontal one. The lower level, being a floored arena, does expose them to more fire though.
DM-Fetid:
The only accesses to this upper tunnel (The drop in or jumps up - which can be done without jumpboots) are covered from this end, as is the playerstart. The length of the end means people have to enter the spawncampers field of fire to assault them. There is dodge space and mild elevation to either side, aiding the spawncamper. The drops out of the pipe provide a quick escape route, and the openness underneath makes it hard to pursue. This is still not a commonly used spawncamp location though, as the lower levels are a confined high-traffic area, so brawlers often end up with a higher FPH. Still, that's not exactly an ideal solution to spawncamping.
DM-Pyramid:
A tricky spot, right next to the playerstart. Due to the map having a measly 5 playerstarts, this can be a lucrative spot, either by camping a playerstart on the top tier, or firing downward at the second tier. The only two ways to flush it are from the center of the pyramid, by hovering up and getting a good shot in, or from the exterior, by collecting the jumpboots and getting up behind the spawncamper. Both expose the hunter severely. The second option is time consuming, and also most likely to get you fragged by another player while trying to execute it. The physical cover provided by this spot does not so much hide spawncampers as severely restrict access to them.
DM-Barricade:
This point provides a lot of cover, especially if the camper hugs the wall that projects furthest. All entries are on the same side of the room, simplifying defense. Anyone who wishes to assault the camper from the same level must first pass through or very close to their line of fire, and the location is easily big enough to allow strafing and brawling. However, it is very easy to flush from above, especially if the spawncamper sits far back enough towards the edge. If not, then you can drop down and shoot them before they even know you are there. The only problem with this is that access from above is in a little-travelled outer part of the level, which can take a fair bit of time to get to.
DM-Liandri:
There are two camp spots commonly used in the room with the glass walkways, most commonly the lower one seems to be occupied. Huddling in the corner feels secure, because it means anyone attempting a flush will usually have to enter the spawncamper's field of fire. The upper point can be flushed via the teleporter or the room below. The teleporter is extremely audible, and the spawncamper has most of the lower room under observation, being able to see both doors by which the upper level is accessed. Despite these territorial advantages for the spawncamper, one disadvantage is that the level has a whopping 22 playerstarts, though the large lower brawlspace and a high player count can still create a big turnover of players to keep a spawncamper in business.

This is a spot I've only seen used a couple of times, for various reasons: The level has 15 playerstarts. The player start targeted is in a high traffic area. Getting to the camp spot requires jumpboots which are nearly as far away as they can be. In its "favor", darkness is good cover, however, ultimately the camper is laid open in three directions with all escape routes being quite visible and/or dropping into high traffic areas. The point can also be sniped at from the thigh-pads on the upper level. There is a more secure spot to camp the same playerstart from, but it's harder to access and I'm not going to show it here.
